Product description
From the Dutch design brand Spectrum is this 'Babel' and is a design from 2005 by the design duo Eric Sloot and Paulien Berendsen of Studio Parade from Den Boch. The cabinet consists of a modular system and can therefore be used multifunctionally as a side table, TV cabinet, bookcase or room divider. Above all, the Babel is an eye-catching object in any space. The cabinet is constructed from modules, which are composed of 15 mm birch plywood. The basic module is 60 cm high and can be built up as desired with modules of 30 cm high. Each module has a fixed layout with horizontal fixed shelves. A height can be made up to a maximum of 180 cm. The cabinet is 150 cm wide and 30 cm deep. The modules come with loose blocks, which can be placed in the cabinet as you see fit. It is important that the blocks are staggered because this strengthens the construction of the cabinet. The ends of the birch plywood are plain and untreated. All shelves are covered on both sides with a matte, wear-resistant plastic layer (HPL) in warm anthracite.
A small corner damage on one of the shelves that is no longer visible due to a stacked module.
