Product description
Soviet space oil painting 2 hatch painting. Painting has hung in a government building as a propaganda piece for Communism. Please note they are standing against a garage door so big!
Beautiful ! So rare and easy to hang.
After the 1956 revolution and the departure of the Soviet Union from Hungary, everything that had to do with the CCCP was taken away and destroyed.
Paintings also had to go! Fortunately, they were removed from the frame and cut into pieces, rolled up and taken home and eventually ended up in the attic and were only found after the death of the owner.
The painting has been re-stretched on a new frame and is in good condition. Probably painted from 1950 to the end of 1960 on canvas that looks like linen.
I also have 2 other pieces that can also be placed on Whoppah if desired, see last photo.
It's about the ;
The Aurora that fired the first shot at the Tsar's ice palace, starting the revolution that created the CCCP.
Aurora 190 x 65 cm
The Lenin icebreaker, diesel, (2 hatch) from 1959 which was later converted to nuclear power in 1970.
Lenin icebreaker 90.5 x 65.5 and 80 x 65.5
Neat condition with signs of use, re-stretched on a new frame. At the bottom a non disturbing small tear.
