DESCRIPTION:
solid beech wood frame reinforced and durable thanks to the steel components used in the area of the joint mechanism; fitted seat module frame with fold-out footrest; infinitely variable tilt adjustment in reclining position by simply shifting weight; seat module with removable leather cover; integrated headrest cushion. The seams are all finished as an elegant double seam (with this seam, the visible seams are decorative seams, the actual functional seam is protected on the inside). The premium and high-quality character of this relax chair is evident from this fact alone.

Westnofa / Vestlandske is the sister company of Stokke / Varier and a renowned Scandinavian design furniture manufacturer. The creations have the typical connection of Scandinavian design to traditional materials and craft techniques.
MATERIAL:
Lacquered beech wood / powder-coated, lacquered steel / naturally grained premium semi-aniline nappa leather, easy-care yet soft!
A little leather lore: "Not all leather is the same !!!"
Please do not compare this leather with artificially grained leather. With artificially grained leather, the lower skin layers of the animal hide (split leather) are pressed through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface that is modeled on the natural leather grain and thus create an artificial grain (embossing) of the original smooth leather through pressure and heat.
This artificially grained leather is very often used for leather furniture that is sold on eBay, Amazon & Co and in upholstered furniture stores at so-called bargain prices, producer prices, direct purchase prices etc. (often Chinese goods). Depending on the supplier and size, these armchairs, sets, sofa landscapes etc. usually range in price from 600 to 1500 euros. The furniture is often advertised with the term "genuine leather", which is factually correct. This does not mean high quality, it is by no means a seal of quality, it only means that it is not artificial leather!
Incidentally, the leather is characterized by quite a high degree of wear and tear, with normal use the grain has disappeared after some time. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the high color application. The difference in quality can also be seen in the price; it only costs around 1/3 of the price of high-quality leather at the tanneries, as it is actually a reject or third-choice product in the conventional sense.
COLOR:
Chocolate / dark brown
The photos are high exposed, so that the 1a condition is also visible in detail! Reddish tones become redder and colors become generally lighter. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reflect the natural color tones. Gloss on the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are silk matt to silk gloss.

CONDITION:
Not much text is necessary here, the Relax Chair is technically and visually in excellent and mint condition. The leather cover naturally has no stains, scratches, tears or holes and is completely odorless. The frame is also in excellent condition. Grade 1 with no ifs or buts! The new owner will enjoy it for years, if not decades, to come.

FORMER NEW PRICE / LIST PRICE / COMPARATIVE PRICE:
is unfortunately not known. To give an indication, the "Siesta" armchairs by Westnova / Hjelle cost around 2900 euros today as high-back chairs in leather. However, this Relax Chair is much more elaborately constructed and has correspondingly higher production costs, so it is likely to have a new price of around 3000 to 4000 euros today.
