Product description
A rare tray / serving tray for the Ruppelwerke (Ruppel) Gotha. It has a floral motif in the center. Perhaps this object was attached to a church yesterday, because of the text on the page.
Marianne Brandt designed many everyday objects for the Ruppelwerke. He was born on October 1, 1893 in Chemnitz, and died on June 18, 1983 in Kirchberg. She was a German designer, photographer, painter and sculptor. She worked as a designer in the metal workshop and is one of the little-known female Bauhaus artists.
Metal construction with a graceful, openwork edge. Marked on the back with the stamp "Ruppel".
Condition appropriate to its age, with signs of age and use (scratches, some light residues, traces of oxidation, some minimal (paint) defects). See also the photos.
