A charming and cheerful appearance! This original 1401 armchair was designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1954. The compact design is characterized by comfort, simplicity and the decorative metal back. The chair has been reupholstered and has a gray lacquered frame, bakelite armrests and is complete with 4 original floor caps. The frame has user marks consistent with age.
