In the 1960s, the Lurashell Company was 1 of the first in the UK to use fiberglass and yaw moldings. Led by Herbert Wood, Lurashell Company created a series of contemporary furniture lines in the Space Age style, inspired by Scandinavian design. Their furniture was so exclusive and high quality that they were allowed to supply the furniture for the 1st class of the Queen Elisabeth II Oceanliner.
