This exhibition took place in the
Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, from September 4 to December 12, 2004.
Poster in excellent condition. Has never been hung.
This photographic exhibition gave a unique picture of the Dutch view of the Paris of the 1950s. The title Paris was mieters! refers to the atmosphere of the fifties.
The photograph shown is by Fred Brommet; Tableaux Parisiens.
Originally from Groningen, Brommet started out as Gordon Parks' assistant, returned to the Netherlands after 1986, but was denied work as a photographer after his Parisian career.
It was assumed in Holland that he had become too expensive.
