Dutch modernist design coat rack designed by Coen de Vries - Tjerk Reijenga for Pilastro. Simple and elegant example of Dutch Industrial Design. The system consists of a metal hanging bracket that can be attached to the wall with two screws, and 8 metal hooks. All parts are original color. This coat rack is 64 cm wide and 6.5 cm high. Hooks contain small spots of paint damage but are otherwise completely flawless, no bending damage. The coat rack is in top condition. Unique specimen, this small Pilastro coat rack is very rarely offered.
This coat rack hung in a heated utility room of a house with no pets for over 65 years. Bags and cardigans hung on the coat rack. Normally the coat rack comes with five hooks, my father at the time negotiated a copy with eight hooks. Minimal signs of use because the coat rack has not been used very intensively.
