Vintage 19th century. Materials: Old Paris Porcelain, Hand painted porcelain. Pair of large Old Paris porcelain vases Decorated in relief with flowers and foliage with gold highlights from the 19th century Napoleon III period. This pair of vases with flared necks has been hand-painted and decorated with delightful, precious flowers and foliage in relief. In France, the bridal vase was part of the ritual wedding gift offered by a close family member, garnished with a bouquet of dried or silk flowers. It was then placed under a glass globe in the newlyweds' bedroom. The vases are stamped on the underside with the initials M.G. and the number 221, the pair of vases are in impeccable condition with no chips and only a slight loss of gilding in some places.
