The carpenter, architect and furniture designer designed this chair in 1969. The PP203 was the beginning - hence the “First Chair” - of the long-standing and fruitful collaboration between Wegner and PP.
The focus of his work was on combining functionality, craftsmanship and the use of natural materials. Wegner's work includes more than 500 chairs, which gave him the informal title of “Master of the Chair”. He is one of the main protagonists of “Danish Modern” and has shaped the style like no other.
