Mid-century, vintage, wall mount coat rack with 4 pegs/hooks, from the 1950's-60's. This coat rack from France, is made of turned wood, and hand-carved, with a superb, ''faux bamboo'' effect, with 4 pegs (hooks.) These kinds of coat racks were commonly found in French bistros, in the 50's - 60's The carved pegs are fantastic and very useful; their shape will perfectly match the shape of any coat, jacket or hat when hung. In good, overall, original and vintage condition, with a beautiful patina of time. Some light signs, marks of age and previous usage commensurate with time, as can be expected on the overall structure (see photos), as well as a patina of time on the overall piece (see photos.) Although some of the pegs are not entirely aligned with one another, this does not affect the overall functionality of the rack (see photos.) All 4 pegs are solid and sturdy. The second peg from the left, has slight signs of previous usage on one edge (see photos), but again, nothing that affects being able to hang anything on it. There are two hooks on the piece, enabling one to easily affix it to a wall (see photos.) Screws not included. Piece has only been gently cleaned with flaxseed oil, to preserve the beautiful, original, patina of time. Both a great looking and useful piece of rustic, vintage décor, to compliment any given space, whether placed in an entryway, mudroom, bedroom, bathroom, etc. Note: All photos taken in natural light, so colors may vary based upon brightness, angles and perspective in which they are viewed.
