The Bolla ceiling or wall lamp was designed in the 1960s by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce. The offered lamp was purchased about 40 to 45 years ago and is in very good condition considering its age. The lamp has a plastic cap, which is easy to remove by turning the round metal corners to the side (see photo). The plastic has virtually no signs of wear and the corners are intact, not chipped. The metal base plate has yellowed from the heat of an old-fashioned light bulb. The white paint has also yellowed somewhat, which is a normal discoloration of white paint over the years. The lamp has a porcelain fitting. The size is 50x50x20cm.
