Beautiful artwork by Marcin Owczarek
from the 2015 series PARADISE LOST
Marcin Owczarek (1985) studied at the College of Photography in Wroclaw, Poland, and graduated with an honorable mention for his series of works "Brave New World", which shows an idiosyncratic vision of the future of the world.
Owczarek is fascinated by the influence of current technology on human life, especially in urban living spaces. He tackles the current problems of far-reaching mechanization and standardization with an anti-utopian style. This is reinforced by Owczarek's interest in shamanism, Gnosticism and alchemy.
His work has its origins in his interpretation of the contents of the book 'Tibetan Book of the Dead' and his studies in Cultural Anthropology.
Marcin Owczarek lives and works in Belgium.

The work reminds me of the end of the world and Noah's Ark, where every soul, damaged or otherwise, is welcome. At the edges, if you zoom in carefully, you can slightly see that the work has been in use since 2015, as can be seen in the detailed photos.
