Product description
Beautiful artwork by Marcin Owczarek
from the 2015 series PARADISE LOST
Marcin Owczarek (b. 1985) studied at the College of Photography in Wroclaw, Poland, graduating with an honorable mention for his series of works "Brave New World," which shows an idiosyncratic vision of the world's future.
Owczarek is fascinated by the impact of current technology on human life, especially in urban living spaces. He tackles the current issues of extensive mechanization and standardization with an anti-utopian style. This is reinforced by Owczarek's interest in shamanism, Gnosticism and alchemy.
His work finds its origin in his interpretation of the contents of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and his studies in Cultural Anthropology.
Marcin Owczarek lives and works in Belgium.
