Product description
For sale is a very beautiful desk by the French furniture designer Marcel Gascoin from the 1950s. The wood used is teak and oak. Behind the worktop is a small bookcase with the original bookends. The special design makes it appear to float. The writing desk has been carefully refurbished so that the unusual design comes into its own. The wood has been sanded and is very pleasant and soft to the touch. It is a real hand flatterer. The wood has been given an even, elegant texture and color effect by the glaze applied. The overall impression of the piece of furniture is very good. The desk is stable, there are no scratches or dents. A part of the guide of the left drawer had to be replaced, but this part is not visible during normal use. There is also the only dent on the table top in the left-hand area (visible in the photo). Otherwise in very good, renovated condition, making this piece of furniture an absolute eye-catcher. The matching chair for the desk (shown in the last picture) can be purchased if required.
