Product description
A beautiful screenprint in new condition by the artist Kees Salentijn. Hand signed and numbered. The work is in perfect condition. Kees Salentijn (Amsterdam 1947) studied at the Amsterdam Rijksacademie van beeldende kunsten and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. He lives and works in Amsterdam. Salentijn's first works are classified under his 'Spanish period' and characterized by bullfights - representing Salentijn's emotional life - rendered in mixed media. His "black period," in the mid-1980s, focuses on the fight that Salentijn feels when making each painting. In 1986, Salentijn develops a painting art, which he himself calls Mediterraneanism. The visual language of this art, characterized by a dominance of the sun and colors, stems from music and nostalgic feelings. Starting in 1990, the confluence of figuration and abstraction turns to a more expressive, narrative figuration. Note: Numbering may vary from the photograph due to multiple copies. Framing the work? Gallery Rotor can offer you any option. You can come and view/pick up the work in Gorinchem or have it delivered.
