Product description
Fantastic sculptural counter balance ceiling lamp designed by JJM Hoogervorst for Anvia Almelo, Holland 1957.
This remarkable piece from the mid-1950s, distinguishes itself from later editions with its exclusive all-metal construction, where the later versions feature plastic details. Featuring a black lacquered arm and a red lacquered shade and weight, this lamp epitomizes both elegance and functionality, while adding a pop of colour.
Its ingenious design allows for effortless adjustment to any desired position through a weight-shifting mechanism located at the arm’s end. By simply screwing the weight back and forth, perfect balance is achieved, showcasing the ingenuity of one of Holland’s premier lighting manufacturers of the era. Remarkable for its quality craftsmanship, this lamp is comparable to esteemed brands such as Arredoluce and Stilnovo. Overall a very nice addition to create a warm ambience.
