This exhibition poster was designed by Jim Dine for the exhibition at Galerie Maeght in Paris. This exhibition ran from April 12, 1983 to May 20, 1983. Dine successively attended the University of Cincinnati and the Boston School of Fine and Applied Arts and concluded his studies in 1957 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio State University in Ohio. In the late 1950s, Dine attracted attention with his participation in so-called happenings at the in-house Judson Gallery founded with Claes Oldenburg and Allan Kaprow. In 1962, he exhibited with Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Dowd, Phillip Hefferton, Joe Goode, Edward Ruscha and Wayne Thiebaud, among others, at the groundbreaking exhibition New Painting of Common Objects at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California. This exhibition is considered the first pop art exhibition in the USA
