His work was featured in the exhibition "MINUS SPACE" at MOMA, P.S.1, New York, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Daimler Contemporary Berlin, CCA Andratx, Wellington City Art Gallery, Centro Per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci Prato, National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and in various art institutions and galleries in Amsterdam, Auckland, Basel, Berlin, Chicago, The Hague, Haarlem, Houston, Cologne, Melbourne, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Wellington, New York. In 2016 the monograph 'Jan van der Ploeg - Selected Works, 2009 - 2016 ' was published. He organized a large number of exhibitions at home and abroad. Recently, several monumental projects by Van der Ploeg have been completed for, among others, the Sint Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein, Kartell in Brussels, Piet Hein Eek in Mavaleix, the Drachtsterplein in Leeuwarden, the Ministry of Finance in The Hague, the SSGN bicycle transfer point in Nijmegen, I.S.I.S.
