Italian coffee table with smoked glass top by Achille Castiglioni for Driade, 1970s
This Italian coffee table in Mid - Century Modern style was designed and manufactured by Achille Castiglioni for Driade around 1970. The table impresses with its elegant construction made of beech wood with curved legs and a 0.8 cm thick smoked glass top. This combination gives the table an organic appearance with a touch of 1970s design spirit.

Achille Castiglioni worked from the perspective that design should structure both form and function as well as the entire production process of an object and applied this view to all his work and products.
Condition: The coffee table is in good condition. The glass top shows slight signs of wear and the wooden construction shows a charming vintage patina. Overall, the table is stable and does not wobble.
