The coastal gene was passed on to Isa by her father, the painter Sjouke van der Zee. She studied at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. Watercolorist, painter, glass engraver, enameler, muralist, engraver (print artist) Student of, among others, Jan Wiegers. She married artist George van der Wagt. In 1954 she won the Cohen Gosschalk Prize. She exhibited abroad, among others, at the Dutch Bank - Galerie S in Amsterdam - as well as in the - Stedelijk Museum. She is also known for her gold engravings, such as this work on offer, paintings made in a metal-based engraving technique with the addition of colors of gold paints and gold leaf framed by passe partout - many of these engravings were purchased by company collections - RKD registered -
