HAY's About A Lounge Chair Low AAL 82 is designed by Hee Welling. This minimalistic lounge chair is very comfortable with its high back rest. The base is made of solid oak and the shell is upholstered with fabric.
Hee Welling is a furniture designer with his own studio in Copenhagen. He studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and has a master’s degree in furniture design obtained at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Now he works in the fields of furniture, interior, lighting and industrial design. He creates objects that are simple but useful, with an honest and careful use of materials. To give the designs a unique and strong identity, it’s important the objects have a purpose and a clean visual expression. For HAY, Welling has designed the About A series and the Hee (Lounge) Chair and Bar Stool.
