Product description
This exceptional chair was designed by Peter Ghyczy in 1967-68. The chair was only in production for about three years because of the complex lacquering process. A copy of this chair is in the Victoria and Albert museum. This chair comes from the first owner and still has the original lacquer, because of this of course there are some signs of use as shown in the pictures. The cushion is original, both the mousse and the fabric. Two snaps for fastening at the back of the seat were loose, as with many chairs, these were reattached. This is not visible.
Considering this is an original chair over fifty years old, it is actually in remarkable condition. The original lacquer shows a scratch or chip in some places, this is quite normal considering the age of the object and not at all disturbing. The seat is a bit thinner in one place, this has been touched up so that spot is stronger.
