Coat rack designed and created by Austrian sculptor-artist Franz West (1947-2012). His work was shown at Documenta in Kassel and the Venice Biennale, among others, and is in the collections of museums around the world including MoMA in New York. The coat rack was made in a limited edition of 100 copies. The version shown is signed on the back (with the initials FW) and numbered (no. 60/100). At auctions in the past, yields were between €3,000 and €6,000. The coat rack does have some traces of use, it remains a coat rack... Current asking price € 4,250.
