Lino/ masonite cut by Francis Hoogland, image size itself 30x40 cm Francis Hoogland (Zutphen 1960) studied graphics at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Constantijn Huygens in Kampen from 1983 - 1988. Her work has a characteristic signature with a very personal color range. Everyday scenes are placed in a figurative setting. Recent works are characterized by an increasing use of more abstract forms in a playful and also monumental representation. Subjects still come from everyday reality, with the forms being a personification of human feeling.
