Sizes : 69 x 98 cm in framed version. Signed : with pencil in the lower middle. Purchased : 1991 at Galerie Lente in Epse (see images with info. purchase price). With the artwork you will also receive the original, extensive catalog in which the artwork is mentioned as part of and with several other works by Marion van Nieuwpoort at the exhibition in question. Also included is her biography and more interesting information. Biography/Review: At the academy in The Hague, Marion built up a solid drawing technique through years of practice in figure drawing, with which she easily and quickly sketches human figures in all positions without a model. After the academy she concentrated on finding a personal painting technique that resulted in a high technical level, in which she plays off abstraction against figuration and manipulates the result in such a way that she draws the viewer into her fascinating world. - Text/source: Micaela E. van Rijckevorsel.
