Rare eye-ball table or desk lamp from the late 1960s. The lamp has a warm orange colored metal spherical shade and rests on a so-called "rod suspension" composed of two chromed metal arms and a sturdy heavy base. This construction allows the horizontal arm to rotate 360 degrees and the bulb to be positioned left, right, up and down. The clamp that holds the two arms together allows the bulb to slide up and down along the vertical arm, and forward and backward along the horizontal arm. Perfectly executed and refined design with typical space age features.
