Corneille
Corneille was one of the founders and one of the most important representatives of the Cobra movement. He was a very prolific artist and created an enormous amount of paintings, sculptures and graphics. Initially strongly influenced by Picasso, but later with the style characteristics of the Cobra that were very familiar to Corneille. Corneille worked abstractly, but from about 1960 he worked figuratively with the well-known birds, women, and flowers as subjects.
