Information about Cassina
The Cassina Soriana Sofa is a design by Afra & Tobia Scarpa. The sofa was designed by the Scarpas in 1969 after they were asked by Cesare Cassina if they wanted to design a sofa in a short time for the trade show in Cologne. The couple did so and successfully, in 1970 they won the Compasso D'oro for the Soriana, a leading award in the world of design. The Soriana quickly became popular and became a true design icon.
