“Duc" lounge chair by Mario Bellini for Cassina, Italy, c.1970s. Leather-wrapped panels attached by zippers that is a classic Bellini design element to create the base structure for this piece with thick loose box cushions inside the frame that allow for very comfortable seating. The piping on the cushions adds a delicate detail to what is quite a masculine form. This piece is part of the Duc collection which was designed in 1976 - all of them exude sophistication. The Duc series was originally designed for the European market, and was not imported to American showrooms. In 2020, Bellini revisited the form and designed the Duc-Duc which did away with the cushy boxed side cushion and added a wood block base and small throw pillow inside to line each side of the inner frame. Dimensions: 36.5” width x 31” depth x 27” height, seat height is 15”, arm height is 23.75" Condition: Excellent condition
