Vintage book rack designed by Adriaan Dekker for Tomado with three teak wooden shelves, a piece of Dutch design. Solid construction and easy to mount on the wall. This set consists of two black enamelled supports (marked), 68,5 x 20 cm and three teakwood shelves, 65,5 x 19 cm.
From the 1959 ad; "Strong - graceful - light - decorative!" Ideal for living room, nursery, bedroom, kitchen and office. Choice of six modern colors. You can expand the Tomado wall rack completely to your own taste! Shelves and supports are also available separately.
Tomado stands for Van der Togt Massa artikelen Dordrecht and was founded in 1923 by brothers Jan and Wim. Especially popular were the Tomado racks in the colors white, black, red, yellow and blue reminiscent of the style of Gerrit Rietveld and Piet Mondrian.
In very good vintage condition with minimal signs of use.
