Set of 4 Amber bubble glass pendant lights by Helena Tynell.
Helena Tynell was a Finnish glass artist (1918-2016) who created designs for utility glass in addition to glass art. For most of her career, she worked at Riihimäki in Finland, which until the 1960s, was the largest glass factory in Scandinavia. Tynell also freelanced for Glashütte Limburg in Germany, among others. One of the lamps she designed there we now offer for sale.
This lamp was designed in the 1960s.
The lamp consists of an amber-colored glass bulb with characteristic bubble motif. The bulb is fitted with a metal clamp spring with screw thread where the E14 socket can be attached. The top of the lamp is covered with a brass ring.
The lamp has a new white cord and a new white ceiling cap.
The glass of the lamp is in good condition. The brass cover ring shows patina and the gold paint on the plastic pull tab has some minor damage (see photo 6).
