Absolutely stunning antique, late 19th century, French Art Nouveau very rare bamboo, rattan and rope set of furniture consisting of a 2-seat bench, 1 high back armchair and 1 low back arm chair, 1 side chair and 1 dining table; all part of a matching set that is made to match and to set up as a whole. To find a set like this, with the beautiful characteristic of the period floral motives and rope seats -the table has a tightly woven rope top as well- is nearly impossible. The very few loose threads that were there, are being professionally repaired - mostly around the legs. There's nothing loose nor missing, and of course with a patina of the age, the set is in immaculate condition with no structural or optical damages whatsoever. This set would fit perfectly on a deck, a garden, or even more on the covered porch or veranda of a beautiful typical American Foursquare style villa.
