Product description
Beautiful Amsterdam School vase. The vase was made at Daalderop in Tiel and was designed in 1929 by Meine Huisenga. Huisenga was originally a ceramist and, together with his brother, had founded a Plateelbakkerij in Purmerend called 'Plateelbakkerij Huisenga'. Unfortunately, this was short-lived because the Plateelbakkerij was soon hit by a fire. The Plateelbakkerij could no longer be built for financial reasons. After this, Huisenga started working as a designer at Daalderop, where he made numerous designs in the style of the New Art and the Amsterdam School.
The Amsterdam School decoration of this vase is punched in the brass. Daalderop called this Niello decoration at the time. The vase is in good condition. Height 10 cm
