Up for sale is a restored original Johannes Andersen lounge chair with new fine black leather in excellent condition.

Description:
These beautiful chairs consist of conically turned pedestal legs, which flow into the backrest with a slight swing at the back legs. The stud legs themselves are connected to each other by curved and rounded frames. Floor protectors are attached underneath. The seat consists of an ergonomically shaped seat shell with ventilation holes, equipped with a new upholstery made of upholstery foam, upholstery fleece and a glove-soft aniline cowhide nappa leather.
The special thing about these chairs is certainly the beautiful, ergonomically shaped backrest. It is deliberately designed in two parts, so that a tine connection that is extremely complex to produce can set the visual highlight.

Solid teak / new, naturally grained premium aniline nappa leather with stain protection! It is strong, firm, durable and yet soft and cuddly. Unique in the drawing of pores, scars and surface structure
Little leather science: "Leather is not just leather !!"...
Please do not compare this leather with leather that has been grained afterwards, i.e. artificially. In the case of artificially grained leather, the lower skin layers of the animal skin (split leather) are pressed through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface that mimics the natural grain of leather and uses pressure and heat to create an artificial grain (embossing) on the original smooth leather.
This artificially grained leather is very often used for leather furniture which is used on ebay, Amazon & Co as well as in upholstered furniture department stores with so-called bargain prices, producer prices, direct purchase prices etc. (often Chinese goods). This furniture is often advertised with the term "real leather", which is factually correct. This does not mean high quality, it is by no means a seal of quality but only says that it is not artificial leather!!
Incidentally, the leather is characterized by a fairly high degree of wear and tear, with normal use the grain will disappear after a while. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the heavy application of paint. The difference in quality is also noticeable in terms of price, it only costs about 1/3 of the price of high-quality leather at the tanneries, since it is actually rejected goods or third-class goods in the conventional sense.

The photos are highly exposed so that the 1a condition can also be seen in detail! This makes reddish tints redder and colors generally lighter. The shaded areas or areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reflect the color tones in real life. Shine on the photos or greyish or milky areas are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are semi-matt to semi-glossy.

Condition:
This ensemble is in excellent condition. It is very well maintained and has only very, very minor signs of wear. More is simply not necessary to describe. No comparison to the usual battered and scratched chairs as a result of years of use! Grade 1 "no ifs and buts". Certainly by far the best of this model currently available on the market. The new owner can look forward to more decades of use.
