VALENTINE
Newton-le-Willows, United Kingdom
Product description
The seat is made of bent plywood, a technique that was innovative at the time. That production method allowed the Danish designer to create organic and charming lines and shapes, which is why the chair was nicknamed the 'butterfly chair'. All 6 chairs are equipped with the original metal covers at the bottom stamped with 'FH Danmark', as opposed to the plastic caps that were used after the 60s. These 6 early edition chairs are still in the original black stained color. The paint is cracked or worn off in some places and one chair has a wobbly back as you can see in the photos. They are kept in the original paint to maintain the authenticity and patina look.
