SB02 Pastoe dining chairs - Cees Braakman Beautiful rare set of SB02 Pastoe (dining room) chairs, designed in 1950. The famous Dutch designer Cees Braakman clearly took his inspiration from the work of Charles & Ray Eames, after learning new folding techniques in the United States. The seat and back are made of bent Birch wood with a veneer of teak. A beautiful piece of Dutch Design. The set is a good vintage condition with the usual signs of age. The chairs have been completely cleaned and have been repainted (frame) and oiled (back and seat). So they will last for quite a while.
Associated signs of use based on age of the chairs. Here and there a scratch, small pieces of veneer missing. I have captured as much of it as possible in the photos. The frames were reinforced by the previous owner with glue and screws in certain places. When using the chairs this is not visible. In short in nice vintage condition.
