These Collar cabinet modules were designed by Oki Sato, the founder/designer behind the Japanese design studio Nendo, one of the largest and most innovative design studios of the past 2 decades. These modules are part of a larger cabinet program and were once created to provide a nice small accent within a Collar cabinet combination. The design is inspired by the characteristic shape of traditional Japanese shirts, hence the name 'Collar'.
These modules are sold per 2 pieces. Dimensions, when stacked as in the first photos: 40 cm high, 25 cm wide, 35 cm deep (dimensions 1 module: 20 cm high, 25 cm wide and 35 cm). Colour: traffic white RAL 9016. Price EUR 550 for 2 modules (more are available if desired).
2 stacked modules are, for example, an original solution as a bedside table. They could also be combined with other modules / bookcases from the Collar program, which we offer through Whoppah. See also our other advertisements. Note: these smallest Collar modules are 3 cm deeper than the larger Collar modules or bookcase.
Text from press release about the Collar cabinet program: The modular COLLAR cabinets are inspired by the collar of a shirt, which playfully echoes in the decorative aluminum fronts. These MDF / metal containers function as individual chest of drawers / side board or bedside tables but can be combined, forming attractive configurations for storing books etc. The subtle color-scheme and the vividly alternated forms express NENDO's typical serene atmosphere. To complement these cabinets, Nendo added also open bookcase cabinets.
