PS 2012 set of dining chairs with armrests designed by Marcus Arvonen for Ikea Marcus took two IKEA chairs as the starting point for a new design: TORPET and URBAN. TORPET is a classic chair from the 1960s. The chair is made of wood and has a comfortable shape. URBAN is a much younger design of iconic plastic, which is very easy to form. He merged the chairs into a new product in wood plastic compostite. Result? A modern chair made of more sustainable material that reduces CO2 emissions during the production process.
