Construction:
Tongue-Chair - free-swinging, 2-part structure made of chrome-plated tubular steel with an extremely slim, upright cross-section (comparable to the later patented "Tube-Aplati" principle from Tecta).
The covers made of robust, thick smooth leather (leather color: a very dark brown - almost black) were simply slipped over the seat frame and double-stitched.
The model is stackable!

Cidue was founded in Italy in 1970 and from the very beginning relied on close collaboration with young Italian designers, producing furniture by photography icon Willy Rizzo as well as designs by Rodolfo Dordoni and Roberto Lazzeroni.
Design:
The design is attributed to the artist, star photographer and furniture designer Willy Rizzo, born in Naples (Italy) in 1928. Imagination with a strong modern expression defines the Italian style of the years 1965-1980, which he also claimed for himself. He is regarded as the designer of the "Dolce Vita". His internationally successful works are appreciated worldwide (e.g. also in the MoMA - New York). Willy Rizzo died in Paris in 2013, but his studio maintains his life's work in international exhibitions and projects.
