Hans Olsen was born in 1919. In 1941 and 1943, he studied at the renowned Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with his compatriot Kaare Klint. By 1953, he had his own design studio and began producing a series of timeless design furniture. He is particularly renowned for his technique using bent plywood. One of his best-sellers is undoubtedly the Tripod Chair. He died in 1992, but his design legacy continues to influence younger generations of designers worldwide.
