In the early 1950s, Nørreklit founded his own design studio and began working for clients such as Lego, Bang & Olufsen and Royal Copenhagen. He was known for his minimalist, functionalist approach to design, which influenced many Danish designers of the time. In addition to his work in graphic design, Nørreklit also taught design at the School of Architecture of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and published several books on the subject. He was also active in professional design associations, notably as president of the Danish Designers Society. Nørreklit died in 1987, leaving behind him an important legacy in the field of graphic design and visual communication. His minimalist, functionalist approach continues to influence designers today, and his work is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
