He was known for his functionalist approach, emphasizing the utility and ergonomics of his designs. Jansson worked on a variety of projects, including furniture, lighting, household objects and office equipment. Some of his most famous creations include chairs, tables and lamps that have become icons of Scandinavian design. Throughout his career, Folke Jansson has received numerous awards and honors for his work, including the prestigious Swedish Design Award on several occasions. His creations are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. Folke Jansson continued to work until his retirement, remaining active in the field of design until the end of his life. He died on July 27, 2011 at the age of 89, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of Scandinavian design. His creations continue to influence many designers and design enthusiasts to this day.
