Guermonprez furniture is renowned for its solidity and simplicity. All bear the AMF label, and the designer's most exclusive pieces are even numbered. After studying at the Ecole Boulle, he exhibited his first creations at the famous Salon des Arts Ménagers, from 1954 to 1976. In the mid-50s, Germonprez presented his first mass-produced oak furniture on black-lacquered metal bases. In 1957, Germonprez collaborated with the Magnani workshop, a move that helped to raise his profile. His furniture was distributed throughout France and even in North Africa.
