Boeri began her career in industrial design working for the household appliance company Arflex in 1963. She designed several notable pieces of furniture, including the Strips sofa (1968) and the Serpentone chair (1971). In 1979, Boeri founded her own design practice, Cini Boeri Architetti, in Milan. She continued to work on a variety of industrial design projects, including fashion accessories for the German company Knoll International. Boeri has also been involved in architectural design, including the construction of residential and commercial buildings. She designed projects such as the Galfa Tower in Milan (1956) and the Fiat car company headquarters in Turin (1971). Over the course of her career, Boeri has won several prestigious awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 for her Strips chair and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2016. She is considered one of the most influential Italian designers of her generation.
