In the 1960s, he began working as a designer for Italian furniture companies such as Arflex, B&B Italia and Kartell, creating iconic pieces such as the "Gastone" armchair and the "Cab" chair. During his career, Bartoli won numerous awards for his creations, including the Compasso d'Oro, one of the most prestigious prizes in design. He was also a professor of industrial design at the University of Florence for over 30 years, training generations of designers. Bartoli died in 2019 at the age of 87, leaving behind him an important legacy in the world of Italian design.
