Product description
Ode to the Venus de Milo . This statue (see above pictures) was made about the year 1900 by an Italian or French artist. It is a replica of the Venus de Milo that is in the Louvre in Paris, this statue was found by a fisherman in the Mediterranean Sea 3500 years ago. My statue is 88 cm high and stands on a 112 cm pedestal, it is made of 2 superior types of marble. It has been on an exhibition of the art fair Pictura in the Mecc in Maastricht in 1986, the Pictura merged into the Tefaf in 1988. This under the auspices of Mr. J Vellen sworn appraiser, who incidentally died in a car accident some five years ago. The statue is a real eye-catcher and is universally considered very beautiful, it deserves a place of honor in a beautiful house but also e.g. entrance of a company. The statue is in perfect condition (see photos) I make sure it is well insured and delivered to you. You can make an appointment for a free viewing
