Product description
Mario Botta studied architecture in Venice, where he graduated in 1969 under Carlo Scarpa and Giuseppe Mazzariol. During his studies, he worked with Le Corbusier until his death at the Venice Hospital and, after graduating, designed numerous buildings made of solid building materials such as natural stone, brick and concrete in his own architectural practice.
He is known for his impressive postmodern architecture projects such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Mario Botta has also been working as a furniture designer since1982 and mainly designs furniture and lights for the Italian furniture company Alias. The chairs, lamps and other furniture he has created reflect a mastery of geometrically rich forms and an elegant application of simple symmetry.
There are slight scratches and signs of wear on the leather of the chair. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
