This cool designer swivel chair with footstool was designed in the 1960s by Gustav Thams for the Danish A/S Vejen Polstermøbelfabrik. Thams was a German industrial designer, born in 1935 in Flensburg and died in 2016 in Tønder, Denmark. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Flensburg and began his career as a furniture maker before turning to industrial design. The armchair and hocker are upholstered in a beige-colored leather and have a metal base. The armchair rotates very smoothly and is tiltable. Through a lever on the side you can fix the chair in a certain position while tilting. A beautiful design and sits like a glove, especially with the matching hocker. This chair gives a sense of luxury with a nod to minimalism. Beautiful in both modern and vintage interiors. Given its age in excellent condition with only very light signs of use. Dimensions armchair: 78 cm wide, 90 cm deep, 93 cm high, 51 cm seat depth, 40 cm seat height. Dimensions hocker: 58 cm wide, 50 cm deep, 42 cm high.
