Beautiful and unique oak cabinet entirely covered with real tortoise shell varnish, was made in Milan by the small design studio Ottini in 1973. It features three clear glass doors, and glass shelves. Ottini made furniture to order for renowned architects and designers using only rare materials such as parchment, python, crocodile and tortoiseshell. The color palette and details of the tortoiseshell patchwork are simply amazing. The design is typical Italian Mid-century, rounded shapes reminiscent of Willy Rizzo's design for Mario Sabot. A truly unique piece, extremely rare, in superb condition.
