Fantastic, vintage, mid-century side table/plant stand/ bookshelf from France, with 3 shelves made of wood, with a rich, dark, chocolate brown mahogany colored, varnished finish, and a brass-colored formica trim, that resembles gilded, decorative edging, circa 60's - 70's. The design of the brass-colored tubing in between the shelves, and the legs underneath the lower shelf, is simple yet elegant, with a golden color that truly pops, in contrast with the color of the shelves, and edging. The piece is in overall, very good, original and vintage condition with light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, shelves (see photos with a 1 cent coin for perspective), edging, tubing, legs and feet, as can be expected for a piece of this age (see photos), but nothing that takes away from its cool look, or functionality. A beautiful, mid-century piece with a touch of Hollywood Regency glam, that can be used anywhere, whether in an entry hallway, as a side or end of couch table in a living room, den or library, a nightstand in a bedroom, storage/organization in a bathroom, as a plant stand or accent piece upon which to place other decorative objects. Piece is solid, sturdy and stable. It has only been cleaned with respect to its original patina of time. All original legs tips are present. All photos taken in natural, outdoor light, so colors may vary, based upon brightness, angles and perspective in which they are seen.
